Reflecting on Two Years of The Vine: A Journey of Faith, Partnership, and Community Impact
“Jesus said, I am the Vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15.5
We are celebrating all that God has done over the last two years to finally establish The Vine community online broadcast here in Kelowna. We are so excited to partner with the other ministries in the valley bringing good news to the people of the Okanagan region.
The CIAM team has been a tremendous support to our Vine team with their help, kindness and expertise in moving forward as an online station initially before the CRTC begins to review our FM station application possibly late next year. The journey to decide on our logo was challenging in light of all the other societies and businesses in our region using different variations of the Vine and the associated expected visual representations, but rewarding to finalize.
We love how our name, “Come to the Vine” calls people of all nations and languages and backgrounds and experiences to simply come to Jesus. In John 15:5, Jesus said, I am the Vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. And in Matthew 11:28 Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Prayers for the year ahead
Thank you to those who have supported the Vine with your prayers and finances. Please continue to pray for our Vine team here in Kelowna that we would have the energy, wisdom, and discernment from God to engage with many churches and organizations in the Okanagan Valley to share the ministry of the Vine over the next year. Also, please pray for others to join our team who could take on various roles including community promotion and coordination.
