Greetings from the Crossroad Team in Grande Prairie
How swiftly the time goes by and here we are nearing the end of 2023. This year has been unique in that it has been a year of anticipation as we looked forward to the good news of the full-power upgrade approvals. Our team was enthused and held fundraisers events in the La Glace, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith and Debolt communities. These fundraisers consisted of a music/report event and were well-attended, raising awareness and support for Crossroad FM in our communities. Thank you to everyone that came out to show their support, we were blessed and were able to pay the $11,000 for the power upgrade.
These events allowed us to connect personally with many of you and we were blessed, not only by your presence but also by the words of encouragement, by the interest expressed in the content played by Crossroad FM, and by the testimonies of the encouragement our listeners receive from the programming.
At the end of June, the receiver at the saddle Hills tower was terminated (101.9) in anticipation of the power upgrade on 99.9. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen technical difficulties we are still waiting for the completion of the upgrade. Please bear with us as we wait for that to happen.
Please continue to pray for the team as we continue to move forward: pray for continued vision for radio in our region, as well as for additional board members to serve in fulfilling the vision. Pray for God’s Word to continue to go forward victoriously as we see the spiritual warfare happening around us. Praise the Lord that the Word of God has continued to be Broadcasted!
