We are very thankful to the CIAM newsman who provides good local news to our community. The automated system also provides us with local current weather conditions.
While our main purpose for the radio is to proclaim the Good News ( Gohnee Nazoo) of Jesus Christ, we also want to be of service to our community.
Recording Fire Updates
In May, when a fire became a concern for our community we were privileged to be able to air locally recorded fire updates at the top of each hour. A NWT Fire Information Officer recorded daily updates in English and a local lady recorded a Slavey translation.
People are listening. Please pray that they will not just want to hear news and updates, but will also have a hunger for the Good News.We recently heard once again from a community member that they occasionally hear the broadcast at their cabin in the bush near Muskeg River.
Prayers for the Fort Liard Community
It has been and is pretty quiet around the station which is located in Walter, Aileen and Joseph’s home but we are hoping to be more active in the near future now that all of our lives are more settled down into the community.We would appreciate prayers for the community and that the Lord will draw people to Himself and to the new church home that we recently moved into.
