Praise & Prayer
- We praise God for His faithfulness as we were finally able to gather for CIAM’s 20 year anniversary (cancelled two times due to fires). We had a very precious time together as a mission family coming from far and near.
- We’re working very hard to finalize all the Full Power Upgrades in several broadcast locations, which will increase the coverage so that more people can hear the Good News. We ask for your prayers over technical challenges with the remaining installations in Grande Prairie, Fort St John and High Level. Please pray for wisdom and financial support as we complete these important upgrades. ($10,000 each)
- Mark Baer’s (our faithful morning host in Fort Vermilion for close to 20 years), and the health of various people in the CIAM family who are battling illness or are in medical recovery.
- Please remember Parry & Antje Stelter (Our Indigenous Host of Word of Hope that airs on CIAM, who recently lost their 22 year old daughter Ashley to cancer).
- Launching the CHOICE media mission platform has not been without challenges. Please pray that God will bring in the right leadership and team that have the programming skills (PHP) to launch in 2024.
- We thank God for bringing Mentorship leads for CIAM (Melissa Mark, Melissa Roshini, Man Sandstrom). Please pray as we launch 1&1 Mentorship and that God would move in many Christians and local churches to partner with CIAM and consider becoming 1&1 Mentors.
- Please pray for wisdom for Phil & Gean and the tech team as we are in the last stage finalizing the transition from physical to virtual servers. Please consider support the cost of the local virtual redundancy & backup server ($11,000).
- Thank God for the full launching of the new iPhone & Android CIAM Mobile App We are also very grateful for the CIAM PODCAST PLAYER where you as a listener have full access to all present and archived programs (check out ciamradio.com). Please pray for full integration of all of CIAM’s new and existing programs into the player.
- We’re thankful for Ben and the video team, who have continued to produce numerous new videos this year. The responses have been great, as they have effectively been used on our websites, presentations and online platforms.
- Pray for a new Artist & Content Creator Lead to join CIAM.
Looking Forward to 2024
- Pray for the current full-time missionaries, their financial support and encouragement as they serve, as well as our many faithful and dedicated volunteers. Pray for a missionary to join our team in the capacity of Counselling & Mentorship Lead.
- The full launching of the new interactive CHOICE broadcast platform.
- CRTC Approval and start of the VINE 92.3FM Broadcast in Kelowna (The cost of starting the station is $25,000)
- Please pray for protection over our broadcast equipment, including transmitter, antennas, broadcast servers and stable broadcasting on CIAM’s existing FM stations across Canada.
- Please consider supporting the New Development vision, which will help needy communities that don’t have sufficient financial support to start a Christian radio. The cost of getting one station on air is $20,000.
The Vine 92.3 FM
In light of the implementation of Bill C11, CRTC has decided to put all broadcast applications in Canada on hold for the next 2 years, which directly affects the start of CIAM’s new broadcast “The Vine 92.3 FM” in Kelowna as well as other broadcast applications and amendments. However, CRTC is presently considering CIAM to be exempted from this freeze! Please pray for favour and approval before the CRTC Commission.
Pray for Our Mission Team and Volunteers
We are very thankful for the CIAM team members who have been working very hard to develop the new, fully interactive, CIAM broadcast platform and community, the CHOICE. It has been a challenging yet rewarding journey exploring new technology, backend programming, web development and design. We are prayerfully and expectantly looking forward to the upcoming beta launch.
