Greetings from Guy and Noreen at Gohnee Nazoo FM in Fort Liard, NT

For the most part this past year has been very quiet here at Gohnee Nazoo FM in Fort Liard. Noreen and I are still getting settled back into the community and into our home. The majority of our time has been spent trying to get the house in order as it was in great need of repair – we also had our grandchild with us for over a year and a half until June of this year.

The setting up of the station last year was a great surprise to us, and in many ways, we weren’t ready for it. We don’t really have a local working group and volunteers are hard to find. There is no church here and we have been trying to gather people together for consistent times of fellowship, but it has not been that successful.

We’ve met some wonderful people in Fort Providence, Behchoko, Hay River, and Yellowknife, which has been a blessing. We’ve shared Bibles and the “Life of Jesus” movie with many people here at home and in these other communities.

We pray for the community, the people, and the radio station, and we ask the Lord will continue to guide us in what He would have us do here in Fort Liard. We’re hoping to focus more on the radio station this coming year as loose ends get tied up.

People are listening to the station from what we have heard and seen, as Noreen is letting people know about Gohnee Nazoo FM. We pray that the Lord will continue to use the radio station to open the hearts and minds of people in this community and that He will draw people unto Himself by the spreading of His Word of truth – the Gospel.
