VictoryFM’s Presence at Prince Albert Street Fair and Beyond
VictoryFM has just taken part in the Prince Albert Downtown Street Fair. Last year we baked with a location next to the noisy bouncy castle, but this year we were allocated a place on the main street right outside our studio. We were also loaned a tent!
The fair had almost twice as many displays as last year and for much of the day the street was crowded. The events of the day included a gospel concert in the park in the afternoon, so we were less busy then than in the morning.

Two conversations I had referred to young athletes. Unlike the time of Eric Lidell, there is no designated time of Sunday morning worship in society today so this is a subset of youth unreached by conventional Sunday worship. While there are specific programmes through Power to Change, Briercrest and Athletes in Action, I was glad that our broadcasts, listened to while travelling, were helpful.
We also met several potential volunteers for roles in our station and I would like to suggest that other stations may find this a helpful means of outreach.
