Michael has been part of CIAM since its start over 20 years ago. He provides servant leadership for CIAM Media together with an amazingly talented and dedicated group of people, who have a common vision and goal to reach out with the Good News here at home and around the world. Please join Michael and his family in their faith journey as they serve the Lord with Canada’s Indigenous people and Mission Media & Broadcasting with CIAM.

Have you not heard? … Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:28, 31

We are deeply thankful for your support and prayers over the years. Man and I count it a joy and privilege to serve the Lord among Canada’s Indigenous people and through the various Media & Broadcast ministries of CIAM. Our family often reflects on God’s faithfulness, and the gift of your friendship and loving care as our dear family in Jesus. Your messages, support and kindness shown in so many ways do encourage us press on for Jesus, in the most difficult and challenging situations we face as a missionary family. Your prayers makes all the difference as they carries us in the spiritual battles that are on-going in our lives and among the people we are serving and reaching out to with the hope and love of Christ. Man and I love to share and to tell the Gospel story with those that God brings our way, whether in our inner city outreach, in the reserves among our dear Indigenous friends and in the media ministries of CIAM.

Thank God for the Body of Christ

Recently, we were very blessed to be part of Peoples church missions conference in Toronto, meeting with a diverse group of global and local missionaries from various ethnicities from all over the world. It was inspiring to hear their God stories and an eye opener to realize the intense challenges they are facing both personally and in their mission fields among the least and often forgotten. It was also really blessing to be able to meet with our dear brothers and sisters in our ACEM home churches and to share the mission story with our family in Jesus. We had a very precious time fellowshipping and catching up with friends we have not seen for long time.

It is hard to grasp that it was 30 years ago when Man and I were called to serve the Lord as missionaries during our first visit in Toronto and RHCCC in 1994. We are forever thankful for His calling and for those who have walked with us so faithfully since then. You have made a deep impact on our lives!!

Man and I were very thankful to able to visit Fort Vermilon, La Crete and Little Buffalo in June and beginning of July. We have very fond and impactful memories from northern Alberta were we first began our mission outreach as family to the nearby Cree, Dene and Beaver First Nations people in 1998. Fort Vermilion is also where CIAM Radio started its first community broadcast in 2003 (now spanning over 31 locations across Canada).

We had chance to meet up friends and with the children and youth that we did kids clubs and VBS with over the years. Many are now parents themselves with young children. It hard to believe how fast time flies. We trust the Lord that all Gospel seeds shared over the years will continue to grow and impact generations to come.

Prayer & Praise

  • Pray for our immediate family (our aging Parents and their salvation & Gabriel and Lovisa’s faith journey that they may walk closely with the Lord).
  • We would ask you to pray specifically for CIAM’s broadcast locations, many again are facing raging forest fires and evacuation orders. Please pray for safety for the people and families directly affected and for protection over broadcast equipment so that we can continue share the Good News when it needed the most.
  • CIAM has recently launched out a new outreach ministry called 1&1 Mentorship. We praise God that the response has been very good. Many volunteers have signed up and trained as 1&1 Mentors. It has been a very positive experience for Man as she together with other 1&1 Mentors are reaching out on the on line platform to those who have need of a listening ear and a compassionate heart. There are so many who are extremely lonely and need words of encouragement and to hear the hope of Christ. We would ask for your prayers as we train more 1&1 Mentors and Mentor Coaches so that we can fully integrate this critical mission outreach on CIAM’s broadcast platforms. If you are interested to get involved please click 1&1 Mentorship.
  • Also pray for strength and wisdom for Man and me in on-going servant leadership role with CIAM with the missionaries and volunteers involved in many of CIAM’s communities in Canada and globally. If you would like to know more about getting involved with CIAM contact us at michael@ciammediacom and we would love to tell your more.

Thank you again for your kind support and joining our mission journey and for holding us and the people we reaching out to in close prayers.

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people.

Colossians 1:3-4

With much gratefulness,
Michael & Man Sandstrom with family
