Greetings from the Fraser Canyon; Boston Bar is a small community just two kms from Hell’s Gate on the Trans Canada Hwy. The next town south of us is a town called Hope. Sometimes it seems that local names give us a picture of the spiritual influences of our areas. Just as the seven churches in Revelation give us an example of the different situations in each one so the CIAM locations each have their unique needs. So each Friday morning a small group of us meet on Zoom for fellowship and prayer. I find as I hear of the different situations that others are going through and we pray for each other we are greatly encouraged. Some days Hell’s Gate feels too close for comfort, but as we pray together, the reason for the hope that lies within us is renewed. Jesus is that hope, there is none other like Him.Christ in us the hope of glory!
Romans 15:13 says, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the holy spirit.
When we get “bumped” does joy and peace splash out? If so, that’s a good indication we are full of Hope. I realize that not everyone is able to meet at the particular time we do but I encourage you to connect with a few others and be renewed by praying together ” especially as we see the day approaching”.
Jesus is the reason for the season!
