Preparing the Airwaves for Advent

Sunrise Radio 92.5 FM

Fort St John & Dawson Creek, BC

It seems that winter is here to stay. The snow, at some of our tower sites, is over a foot deep. Thankfully everything is running well. 92.5FM is broadcasting at 2000 watts and reaching areas where reception, in the past, has been poor. We rejoice that mail is being delivered. We look forward to the advent season.Christmas music will begin broadcasting on December 1st. John Greyeyes is reaching out, with the offer of solar radios to residents in the various care facilities in Fort St. John, also the hospital chaplain has radios available for patients to borrow. Our wish list for volunteers includes those willing to edit mp3 files, record the weather and host various live programs. The office has been only open by appointment because Marilyn has been on “light duty” since her surgery. One new volunteer is willing to give 4 hours a week beginning at the end of November. This is very encouraging. Please pray that the Lord will raise up more willing to serve. We are thankful for the board of directors, who graciously give their time. Many thanks for your vital role keeping the stations on-air.It was a blessing that many of you found ways to continue your financial support during the post office shutdown, dropping donations in our mailbox at the studios, and through e-transfer and Canada Helps. May the Lord make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you.
