The Unexpected Trip

Walter has been with CIAM for over 10 years, and is responsible for CIAM’s technical development and support. This includes monitoring and maintaining stations to keep them on air.

So often we think of this as God working everything out in a way that suits us or expedites our plans. However, the next verse goes on to say,

What goes on in our lives has more to do with what God is doing in us than it does in the actual working out of circumstances.

Recently our circumstances included a trip to and extended stay in Saskatchewan. Walter’s elderly mom broke her hip and we went to be with her. While we were there Walter was able to change the antenna at the Prince Albert tower. That could not be done without help. The Lord wonderfully provided several men to help. Walter was also able to start training a man to do the local announcements for Victory FM. When we had to leave before the training was complete, the Lord provided someone in Prince Albert who could continue to do the training. The unexpected trip also made a good in person visit between Walter and the Grande Prairie tower/internet provider possible. Just this week work has been done at that site that moves the upgrade to high power there forward.

As we look back at our recent trip we can see the many ways that God used it to accomplish CIAM technical work. It is not as easy to see how God has used it to conform us to the “likeness of his Son”, but we know that He is doing that as well.
