Recent Endeavours
A good way to start this debrief on my past couple months is to go over the different things in my life that surround my work with CIAM and the work I do with CIAM! This past while has been such a blessing to see that overlap between different God-honouring experiences and work moments. I have done work for my Church (The Met) and for other Christian organizations this past few months, building godly connections on the way. I have helped capture different events like the Timothy Trust Conference here in Ottawa, which highlights teaching pastors and other biblical teachers, equipping them to level up their ministries and teaching skills.Then I spent time video capturing different Christian musicians, creating videos to showcase their work.While this has been going on, I have had the most blessed opportunity to connect with other Christian creatives in the Alberta area to talk about some upcoming CIAM projects.
EFC, Ect and Samantha Ebert
This past two months I was on set helping EFC with some of their filming jobs.As this Christian Artists music has taken over the Christian radio scene for the Canadian Singer/Songwriter. I had the opportunity to connect with her and help with her video content for her new single!
I had the blessing to work with Wild Remedy and other artists over the summer. Helping showcase their work to the world!
What’s on the horizon?
With the CIAM Media annual gathering closing in on us here, I will be heading out to Alberta to be a part of the conference! It will be a great refresher, and time to soak in the Word of the Lord as I reconnect with my teammates, coworkers and friends. During this time I will be connecting with other photographers and filmmakers in the area, one of them being my former bible college professor to talk about some upcoming video projects with CIAM, and how we can work together to share the gospel!
My hope for the upcoming meetings and season would be a godly realization of all the hard work and effort put in by myself and the CIAM Media team, and how the ball is now rolling with new projects. Seeing those effect people and help support them in real life would be a true blessing. With TheChoice launch upon us, we are looking at how we can best showcase this through media to those around.
Reflection
This past season I can reflect on and see God’s faithfulness through all the moments.He has kept me close to Him, and kept me on mission through it all. God has worked in all the small places, the passing by connections, and the out of reach phone calls to connect the dots on what steps I need to take next to do work for His kingdom and glory.
Prayer
Prayer for myself in this season looks like asking God to reveal His next steps in where to take creative direction for the media I create. Prayer for the upcoming travel in September, that everything goes well and safely. As well as prayer that God will open up doors to working with other Christians across Canada in the media realm and bringing the gospel to those around us.
