Michael has been part of CIAM since its start over 20 years ago. He provides servant leadership for CIAM Media together with an amazingly talented and dedicated group of people, who have a common vision and goal to reach out with the Good News here at home and around the world. Please join Michael and his family in their faith journey as they serve the Lord with Canada’s Indigenous people and Mission Media & Broadcasting with CIAM.
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
– Matthew 9:36-38

It is with deep gratefulness and fond memories that we think about you and our fellowship in the Gospel. We have learned much from you and your example in serving the Lord, sharing both joy and hardship together. Your prayers, loving care, and support have upheld us and the people we serve among Canada’s Indigenous communities, inner-city outreach, and in broadcasting the Good News across Canada and to the world through CIAM Media & Chinese Outreach. Thank you so much for serving with us. We are truly blessed to have you journey with us.

This year we have traveled several times up north to visit Fort Vermilion and nearby First Nations communities. Many of these communities need the Gospel and hope during their grief and pain due to suicides among young people, tragic deaths, and accidents. We are thankful for the Holy Spirit that gives us words to bring comfort and to remind them that they are never alone – God is near to the broken-hearted. Jesus’ love is more evident not because of the absence of tragedy but in the midst of it, someone comes alongside offering a hug and prayer. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Thanks be to Jesus!

It was a joy to pre-celebrate Jean Campbell’s 100-year birthday in her hometown Fort Vermilion. She is a true example and testimony to live for eternity. Jean did even check out her family grave site to make sure the lot prepared for her would fit. Truly, where is your sting oh death for us a follower of Christ? But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

We have faced many unexpected and challenging circumstances this year. At the end of June, Man found out that she had a complex “Staghorn” kidney stone, which became infected and quickly developed into a critical emergency. Man went into sepsis, and her body was shutting down! How thankful we are to God and to the skilled surgeons who saved her life. Praise God for the peace He has given us to face every trial with joy in our hearts. It is well with my soul (Psalm 139:16).

Earlier in the year, we were back in Sweden to celebrate Lovisa’s 30th birthday and Michael’s dad and mom’s 63rd wedding anniversary. We treasured every moment, as we don’t get to see each other very often. God blessed us with an unexpected, sweet time at the City Church in Stockholm, where we connected with new dear brothers and sisters who blessed us in so many ways. We had the opportunity to speak at their Bible school, preparing and sharing meals together. The church even arranged a time of commissioning and prayer for us before our return to Canada.

After we returned to Edmonton, we were blessed with a time on Keats Island outside Vancouver, where we were able to connect with other ministers and learn more from one another.

We thank God for our dear church family. Your love for God and His Kingdom has impacted us in ways that no words adequately could express. Thank you again for your faithful support and heartwarming friendship!

We had a great surprise as we were speaking at a missions conference in Edmonton. The EPBC congregation had arranged a mission supper and each table was thoughtfully decorated with FM radios from different eras—some as far back as 1903! Their kindness and love offering deeply touched our hearts. “The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. (Proverbs 11:25)
There is no greater joy for parents to see our children living and serving the Lord. We are very thankful for the opportunity given to share in different churches mission’s conferences with Gabriel our son. He shares from his experiences as a criminal defence lawyer how to live out his faith among colleagues and clients. We are praying that one day our daughter Lovisa will join us to be a witness to testify of God’s faithfulness in her life, according to His plan and perfect timing. Please pray with us. As for me and my household we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

As we enter the new year of 2026, we would like to share this Scripture from 3 John 1:2 with you as a prayer; “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
We appreciate your prayers for our immediate family. Michael’s aging parents and their salvation. Protection over Gabriel and Lovisa’s faith journey.
With much Love & Prayer
Michael & Man Sandstrom with family
