A Special Message from Tribal Rescue Ministries

On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. Acts 14:27

About Tribal Rescue Ministries & Indigenous Faith

Craig and LaDonna Smith, Tribal Rescue Ministries

What started out as a weekly podcast that aired on our tribalrescue.com website, and which now is listened to in forty-four countries around the world, has extended its reach through radio stations strategically located within reach of First Nations communities through partners such as CIAM Media.

Ministry is all about going through doors that God opens for His gospel’s sake. That’s why Tribal Rescue Ministries (TRM) is pleased to partner with CIAM Media to help spread the gospel message through the ministry we have to Indigenous people, first here in North America, and also to those around the world!

We produce a 30-minute audio broadcast titled Indigenous Faith. The content is designed to help produce biblically healthy Indigenous followers of Christ in the context of their cultures and traditions. But our message is rooted in the timeless truths of God’s Word and does not follow with the current trends that try to redeem our past cultures and incorporate the sacred objects of our people, which produces in the end a confusing syncretism that has brought many Indigenous believers into less than God honouring worship. And we are thrilled that CIAM carries our broadcasts into the First Nations communities within its reach.

The Battle for Truth

As we maintain a high view of Scripture, we attempt to bring the Word of God as originally intended by God to be conveyed to our listeners, rather than a message that is filtered through human sin-stained cultures, resulting in relative truth that works for one culture but is different for another. Or, in other words, relative truth, vs. Universal Absolute Truth as God intended.

In an ongoing battle for truth, we are pleased to share these timeless truths with a growing listening audience. We also have available the Indigenous Faith book, and the Indigenous Faith 2.0 Video Teaching Series as downloadable content on our tribalrescue.com website. This seven-spart video series is designed for small group settings, Sunday school classes, or even the whole church and features not only Craig and LaDonna Smith (TRM founders), but Dr. Vern Charette (Ojibwe), who is one of America’s leading Native theologians.

Praise & Prayer for TRM

We thank the Lord He has opened a door for us to extend this critical teaching series into the First Nations communities within reach of the CIAM radio signal. We pray that the Lord continues to keep these doors open so that the truth of God’s Word can continue to push back against teaching that has no foundation in biblical truth, but only in cultural relevance.

Please pray for TRM, the Indigenous Faith materials, and our partnership with CIAM that it will continue to produce lasting fruit manifesting itself in building biblically healthy Indigenous followers of Christ!
