Melissa & Rawlin: Using Creativity for God’s Glory

In May 2015 we were invited to a CIAM retreat conference at Slave Lake, Alberta where we met the whole CIAM family and saw how God was using this community to reach Western Canada. Having been active in my previous church with print design, I volunteered to help out with print and digital design. By God’s grace, I have continued to use my creative skills as a part time designer at CIAM for eight years.

My role is to create wireframes, prototypes, responsive UX design, various graphics, or short videos as aids to the CIAM and The Choice brand.

As a part of the Edmonton team, I think through the navigation of The Choice website to provide the best user experience, design mobile-friendly web pages and create mockups, work in Adobe programs, organize files and co-ordinate with the programming team in Chennai, India that also have a heart for serving their community and are passionate about sharing the Good News.

Design exists to communicate. My hope is that I can communicate the Gospel with my creative skills and that I do it for the glory of God every single time.

My husband Rawlin and I moved as a family to Canada in 2010 and are now based in Edmonton, Alberta. Together, we would like to thank you for your prayers and support this past year.
