Sneak Peek into Mentorship 1&1

About 1&1 Mentorship

Coming soon to CIAM is a new chapter in connecting with listeners. There are a great many listeners that would reach out if only they knew there was someone willing to listen and care for them, to walk alongside them in the journey of life for a time while in need. CIAM is working and presently training numerous mentors to be in that role. CIAM mentors will be listening, caring, praying with listeners and journeying with them towards Jesus. We have heard numerous testimonies over the years of transformed lives because of the CIAM broadcast. Praise the Lord! Of a thousand listeners we may hear from only a few, so there are probably many more than just those we hear from. Now they will have an opportunity to connect with a mentor 1&1.

What Our Mentorship Team and Volunteers are Saying So Far

As a 1&1 Mentor, I often receive short messages with a heavy heart cry; “am tired, depress, social anxiety, painful past memories, suicidal, worthless, feeling lost”. I know next to nothing about the person, their story or even their real name. How can mentorship blossom into an impactful relationship that brings light into the mentee’s dark world? I start with prayers of thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father; He who created us also knows us best (Psalms 139). Then I trust in His Word, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20) I am learning that I only need to be willing, knowing that it is Jesus who is interceding with me for the mentees. Thank you also for your support and prayer for us here in CIAM. One day in Heaven we will know fully the effect and impact of our earthly faith journey. That is exciting!

I’m so grateful for the chance to be an online mentor with CIAM. This experience opened my eyes to a range of issues, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I wholeheartedly recommend the mentorship program. This Christian online platform is designed to help mentors navigate and respond to different issues from mentees worldwide. The wisdom and support I got from my mentor coach was very encouraging. It’s been a learning journey for me as I walk alongside others on their faith journey.

I’m really enjoying the mentoring! I’m definitely a better communicator in writing than speaking so for me this is a great way to pour into these young women the same way others have done for me. I know in-person generally tends to be better but there’s something to be said about being able to consider, pray over and craft a response. Plus, the mentee also has time to give things some thought. In an in-person conversation if I wanted to transition to spiritual things sometimes there’s a sentiment of “I don’t really feel like opening up that can of worms right now.” This is a really great ministry tool, and I look forward to seeing how God will use this platform to reach the lost, hurting, and broken.

1 & 1 Mentorship sounds quite interesting. I recognize that mentoring is not a short term event, it is a longterm walk of faith with an individual. I have spent the last year counselling a number of individuals on a number of issues, especially faith. All those I have counselled have been adults, both young and old. We tend to think that older adults will have resolved faith issues as they grow older, but many individuals need someone to come alongside them. I look forward to being of help as the Lord leads.
